Your agreement with us

These terms are the agreement between you and [OWNER NAME] ("Sabz", "we") covering your use of the Sabz iOS app and this website. They also serve as the app's end-user licence agreement. By installing or using Sabz you accept them; if you don't, please delete the app.

Your agreement is with us, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Sabz and no responsibility for it, though Apple may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary.

Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Sabz on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, or use it to build a competing service.

The app, its name, its content and its design remain ours. Your plants, photos and notes remain yours. Photos and notes are transmitted to our analysis service and Anthropic's API when you add a photo to a plant or run a Check-up, and are discarded once analysed — we never store them and claim nothing over them.

What Sabz is, and isn't

Sabz provides general information to help you care for houseplants. It is not a substitute for professional horticultural or veterinary advice. Care recommendations, health assessments, and plant-safety information are provided "as is," without warranty, and you use them at your own discretion. Sabz and its owner accept no liability for loss or harm arising from reliance on the app, to the extent permitted by law.

Check-ups and diagnoses

A Check-up is a best-effort assessment produced by an AI model from the care history you've recorded, anything you've told it, and a photo if you added one. The diagnosis it produces is not a definitive diagnosis. It can be wrong, incomplete, or confident about the wrong thing.

Treat it as a considered opinion to weigh against what you can see. Where a Check-up says the evidence is thin, take that seriously.

Check-ups depend on a third-party AI service and are subject to usage limits. We can't guarantee they'll always be available, or that the same input will give the same answer twice.

Pet safety

Sabz's toxicity information is a general guide sourced from the ASPCA's published lists. It covers cats and dogs only, is not exhaustive, and is not veterinary advice. Other animals, and species outside the app's library, are not covered.

A plant marked safe may still cause a reaction; a plant not listed may still be harmful. If you think an animal has eaten a plant, contact a vet immediately — do not wait to consult the app.

Sabz Care subscription

Sabz is free to start and includes three Check-ups. Sabz Care is an optional membership — [£3.99 a month or £29.99 a year] — giving unlimited Check-ups. Plant tracking, reminders, the species library and pet-safety information stay free.

Sabz Care renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Payment is taken by Apple through your Apple Account, and prices may vary by region.

You can cancel any time in your Apple Account settings; the membership then runs to the end of the period already paid for. We can't issue refunds ourselves — refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store Terms of Service.

Ending a membership never removes your data. Your plants, photos, care history and past diagnoses stay on your device exactly as they were; you simply return to the free allowance for new Check-ups.

Fair use and your part

Please use Sabz for its purpose: caring for your own plants. Don't attempt to bypass the Check-up limits, submit photos you don't have the right to share, or use the service in a way that breaks the law.

Decisions about your plants, your home and your animals remain yours.

Availability and changes

Sabz is provided as it is today. Features may change or be withdrawn, and the app may be unavailable at times. We'll update these terms when the app changes materially, and the date at the top will reflect it. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or our liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by our negligence.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW — e.g. England and Wales], and disputes fall to the courts of [JURISDICTION].
